Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. St Nicholas Orthodox Church in Christchurch, for which I’m the elected Treasurer, has, for several years now, used the services of Top Edge Advisory.
They provide day-to-day accounting advice when required, process our accounts at the end of each Financial Year and produce an Annual Performance Report which we present at our AGM and submit to Charities Services.
In the past these functions were carried out by unsupervised volunteers, who each year, before the AGM, were tasked with wrangling the accounts.
Acknowledging that change was long overdue, the Parish Council finally decided that we would computerise, that we would employ Xero and that we would engage professional assistance.
After a couple of false starts, we were recommended to Top Edge Advisory and have never regretted the decision. As Treasurer, I can now present a set of accounts with confidence knowing that they have been subjected to professional review. Trust me… that’s a relief!
Interactions with Matt and his team have always been handled in a professional manner with user friendly advice delivered promptly.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a new CE at Interpreting New Zealand, I have appreciated my early engagement with Matt and the Top Edge Advisory team as I get to know our financial position. Matt has been professional, responsive, and generous with his time, and I have valued how he is always willing to answer questions from my team and me, no matter how small.

He provides clear and well-structured reporting. I also value the way he brings a thoughtful and strategic perspective, helping me see around corners as I settle into the role and build confidence in our financial oversight and planning.

It has been reassuring to work with someone who understands the for-purpose sector and takes a flexible, practical approach that fits well with our kaupapa.
